Burke currently resides west of Boulder on Sugarloaf with his wife and
children. His business began as an opportunity to build his own house and he
continued afterwards as a sole proprietor for over fifteen years. From
Highland Elementary to the University of Colorado, from childhood to
fatherhood, Boulder has been home all of his life. He has always enjoyed the
outdoors and all it has to offer with hiking, bicycling, camping and
fishing. This has also been the place he feels called to bring his gifts of
craftsmanship with a simple and old-fashioned way of providing an honest
days work for a good value in homebuilding. Solving challenging problems
with innovative ideas has been the greatest joy in his work. In January
2008, Burke and his long-time employee Andrew Rogers became owners in a
combined venture as an LLC.
Andy was born in Boulder, CO, and except for four years in the military, he
has lived here ever since. He graduated from Boulder High School in 1990 and
then studied at the Defense Language Institute while serving in the US Army.
He returned to Boulder after completing his tour of duty in Germany. In
1996, after several years of study at the University of Colorado without a
firm direction, he was offered a job for the summer with Burke Enssle. He
never looked back…
In addition to deeply enjoying the work of building, Andy has many interests
including gardening, fishing, and music. He spends most Saturdays working
with his friends on a beautiful farm in Hygiene, CO.
